Build, expand, and prosper in your virtual empire

Kingdoms Reborn is a pay-to-play strategy game that allows you to construct a bustling metropolis and give life to each of your citizens. Set in a procedurally generated world map, this game takes you on a journey from a quaint medieval hamlet to a flourishing global empire.

Kingdoms Reborn, which is currently in early access, entails you to grow your kingdom through different eras. Akin to the beloved city-builder Banished, this indie title features simulated residents that each has a purpose in your kingdom. This neat mechanic contributes to the game's realism and complexity of your growing civilization.

Varied gameplay that you can enjoy with friends

Kingdoms Reborn offers a wide variety of gameplay styles through its four distinct cultural factions: The Duchies, The Emirates, The Norsemen, The Shogunate, and The Tlatoa. Each faction has its unique art and presents a different gameplay experience. Each faction possesses unique resources and buildings. The Duchies specialize in potatoes and vodka production, featuring the Vodka Distillery. The Emirates excels in carpet, spice, agave, and tequila, supported by the Pita Bakery, Tequila Distillery, and Carpet Weaver buildings.

Further, the Norsemen thrive on honey mead and cheese, facilitated by the Mead Maker and Cheese Maker facilities. The Shogunate capitalizes on rice, plum, sushi, ramen, sake, green tea, bonsai, and electronic gadgets, using the Sushi Bar, Bonsai Nursery, Ramen Shop, and Electronics Factory. Lastly, the latest addition to the factions, the Tlatoa, has corn, agave, tequila, tobacco, and cigars, integrating the Corn Breeder, Tobacco Breeder, Tequila Distillery, and Cigar Factory.

Each faction boasts its own array of wonders to cherish, including the Mosque, Step Pyramid, Grand Palace, Odin's Hall, Floating City, Sultan's Grand Palace, Great Buddha Shrine, and various others. In addition, with more factions in the pipeline, the game promises endless diversity. The world itself is a marvel to behold, with a large procedurally generated map featuring seven distinct biomes.

Dynamic environments and collaborative adventures

This variety ensures that your kingdom's surroundings constantly change, adding an extra layer of challenge and immersion. You will have to invest in research and technology to propel your civilization forward through these biomes. The extensive tech tree allows you to unlock new buildings, bonuses, and upgrades, providing a sense of progression and accomplishment as your city evolves.

This game also offers a robust multiplayer mode that provides a dynamic and interactive experience. You can choose to compete or cooperate with neighboring cities. You can even gather up to 18 players for a grand collaborative adventure. However, it's essential to note that, like many games, this simulation isn't without its quirks. New patches may occasionally disrupt saved games, but this is a minor issue overall.

Balanced intricacy and immersion

Kingdoms Reborn is a city builder that manages to strike a balance between complexity and accessibility. With its simulated citizens, diverse cultural factions, and ever-evolving world, it offers a rich and immersive experience for fans of the genre. Whether you're looking to build a mighty empire solo or embark on a cooperative adventure with friends, this title has something for every aspiring ruler. Just mind the new patches that may disrupt saved games.
